Holy crap Scott, these are great.  The middle one is fantastic.

Great shots! I see a component made by Bendix. They are now part of Honeywell and still make fuel controls and valves for our engines in South Bend.

Scott, I love the Flabob images....

That is an aircraft photo-bombing Rob's star trails image.

The dotted line confused me. I wasn't thinking flashing lights.

Nice. I love me a nice lever action. What's that one chambered for?

After the winter storm moved through Arizona last night I decided to take the grandkids to a favored spot and catch a regulation AZ winter sunset. Unfortunately, the clouds and light did not cooperate. The mountain never received any direct light at sunset and I did not capture the warm glowing image I had hoped for. Such is the nature (pun intended) of landscape photography. No matter, while I waited for the "never-to-occur" sunlight, the grandsons and I held a vigorous rock throwing contest. It took all I had to beat grandson #1 and I've had to take a handful of Advil tonight as a result. Gratefully, the errant throws by grandson #2 did not result in a direct hit on the tripod; although one came pretty darn close.

Now that I think of it, everything went better than planned this evening

And this is what will make that a memorable picture. Nicely done.

.32-20.  VERY tame, shoots like a .22LR, only quieter.

Thanks Scott. I had actually gone to this location to photograph Four Peaks; however, as previously mentioned the weather did not oblige. The quartet of mastiffs were never seen while we were throwing rocks. In the end, I took a long exposure to get the clouds smoothed-out a tad. This is as good as it got  ;)
