Beautiful shot Ned.  Are you using a Macro lens?

Scott Youmans

Gorgeous Ned.  Amazing little "machines".  I'm curious to know what lens you're using as well.  Looks like a long macro unless you cropped a bit.

This image was made with my 70-200 f2.8 L IS II lens with the 2x III extender. They are a very capable combination. I was shocked at how good that new 2x III extender performs.

Ned, Thanks for the info.  I can see where the 2x III could come in very handy with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS II.  I have the newest 1.4x but have thought the 2x might be pushing it.  I guess not.

Agreed.  That is solid performance for a zoom/2x combo.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Wonderful monochrome landscape Scott - love the dramatic sky. What lens were you using?

Thanks Jeff!  That was taken with a Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VRII with polarizer at 24mm on a D800e body.
