You don't technically need a release to show them Dave.  Only if you intend to sell or license the images for commercial use.

You don't need a release to make private "fine art" sales either.

I've been wanting to catch some Wild Mustangs to photograph forever.  Well I don't know that these are descendents of the Wild Mustangs that roam Nevada and Wyoming, but they are Wild Horses.  Not exactly the two Mustangs rearing up against each other in battle that I've always wanted, but I'll take what I'm given to shoot at.

DELIVERENCE

From John Aho's "Painting with Light" workshop at Boyce Thompson Arboretum last night.  Pretty cool stuff.  He did wide-area illumination with some pretty sweet LED boxes he put together, and we had multiple opportunities to shoot a few subjects from different angles.  It was more of a "do" workshop than a "learn" one, but it was still a lot of fun, and if nothing else, got me more comfortable with shooting in true low-light situations.

Interesting coloration.  Did the light sources use some colored gels or some such thing?

They were just colored 1-watt LED bulbs in plastic tubs.  He had one cool device that was a discarded satellite dish with mirror fragments inside the dish with an LED box shooting light at them.  That actually threw light pretty far.
