Jeffe,

Thanks.  Life seems to have been getting the best of me, but working on re-prioritizing the important stuff and back into the swing of things.

#437
Fun at 12-mm's...

And 737's at 400-mm's are awesome...

...but I think they're even better at 500-mm's

While not part of this weekend's cloud/storm-fest...I do like and appreciate when traffic is landing on 25R.

Terrific panning work Sir Dave. I too appreciate arrivals on 25R; especially in the good afternoon light. The Delta image clearly captures the longest "smoking' the mains" I've ever seen and it appears it is a 737-900 - something I've not seen at PHX before.

Jeffe,

Thanks, and nice observation on the -900 model!  What are the differences between a -900 and say...a -700 or -800?

I had to look up the registration to see which model it was.  Seems this gem was delivered by Boeing just this last July.  Wonder if it still has that 'new plane' smell?

-700 have a single overwing exit (on each side), while the -800/-900's have two.

Rob, thanks for the pointer on the visual cues.

Just tickling the deck at 1/60th...

As inspired by Mr. Milstein, finally caught that new Southwest livery...both coming and going.  Unfortunately, the arrival shot isn't quite as centered as the departure shot.  I thought they'd have a bigger heart...guess not.
