As inspired by Mr. Milstein, finally caught that new Southwest livery...both coming and going.  Unfortunately, the arrival shot isn't quite as centered as the departure shot.  I thought they'd have a bigger heart...guess not.

Well done Dave. Milstein could pick up a few pointers from you  ;)

She looks pretty good at a 3:1 crop...just wonder how much longer will they stretch 'em?

Some 737 action from today, while waiting for that MD-11 that took off about four hours late (and I didn't catch).

An oldie but a goodie.  A naked (sans winglets) -300 series in 2014...who'd a thunk?

This new paint scheme is starting to grow on me.  I think I'm actually beginning to enjoy it.

Caught these two during a short trip to San Francisco.  Southwest's terminal sits close enough to the departure ends of 1L & 1R to get some decent shots of stuff we don't normally see (anymore) in Phoenix.

And something that's slowly becoming more prevalent in their fleet...

There was plenty of scimitar happiness this morning, in between the Holiday Heavies...

Thanks Jeff! I have always preferred taking pictures of prototypes, testbeds, and unusual modifications. I'll be posting more testbeds soon. I have a display of my pictures of Boeing Prototypes and Testbeds on my web site.

A little abstract on this one, but I had been wanting to try it for a while. Our place in Cave Creek gets overflown by jets bound for Sky Harbor all the time. Of course they can be anywhere relative to the observer, so you kind of just have to set up and pray. This WestJet 737 was kind enough to make an appearance, and I am pleased with how it came out for my first try.
