Looks really sharp Jeff. I rented a 24 TS-E II a ways back for 3 days but it wasn't enough time to really get the learning curve of it. I did an architecture shoot with it but fell back to my 10-22 & 50 to get the final shots that got used. What do you shoot usually exteriors or interiors or a mix?

I typically shoot a mix of interiors and exteriors; with an emphasis on the interiors. Someday when there are a few more shells in my bag, I'll add Canon's TS-E 17mm f/4L. Sometimes, the extra field of view is needed. Here is another shot from my Roosevelt Lake sortie.

Jeff, really nice postings. Glad the Mark III is working out.  One thing I noticed that might not be a factor for you was that DPP defaults to "Unsharp Mask" for sharpening with the Mark III. Plain "Sharpening" works much better for me with this camera. I almost thought there was something wrong with the body.  There were annoying artifacts around hard edges such as lettering on aircraft.  If you're using Lightroom or something else to process your RAW files then it's a non-issue. Again, super images Jeff!

Jeff, outstanding B & W of the bridge, very impressive, I think your getting the hang of the Mk III pretty darn quick.

Took a road trip up north back in 2007 and decided to put some 2012 editing skillz to some of them...

Agreed, nice shot.  May I make one request: can you resize the image, down to something in the 1000 x 587 pixel range?

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks Dave and thanks for the sizing guidance. I'll do that on all future postings.
Do you want me to resize this one as well?

Dave S.

If you don't mind, resizing this would be good too.  That way, it fits on the screen (without having to scroll left/right) when it is viewed.  In future, using ~ 1000 pixel width for images you upload is generally a good thing.  Too much wider and people have to scroll to see the whole image.

Thanks,
Dave
