Rob's spot wound up being a very good one.

I hate it when I don't get to bed until 2am, I'll have to get it later.
Does anyone know why there are 4 US Airways keys jets (stupid iphone trying to correct me) parked near the west end of the airport? They have been there at least the last 2 days? One was Arizona paint scheme. There was 5 there today.

I got there late, and not knowing my way around, I just headed to Terminal 4.  Here's what I got from there:

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Has anyone been able to find any information on this in the local media?  azcentral.com, KTVK and FOX10's website don't have anything about this.

Caught the departure to KGCN this morning - pretty much all belly shots.

Flightaware is showing a return time of 12:20pm today.  Sounds like they're doing the Clark Griswold tour of the Grand Canyon.

My guess that the load was very light, or the pilot started w/ the brakes on at full throttle.  It was off the ground by Terminal 4 and climbing fast.

Joe Copalman

Yup.  T4 would have been a much better spot this time around.

Looking like a 10:28am departure this morning.  Traffic is already moving east to west.

Since all the local news sites seemed to have ignored this story, here's a link to Xinhua's story on the visit:

Ridiculous that we have to go to China for our local news now.
