A whole bunch of mostly Deer Valley based warbirds arriving in style for the fly-in. In addition to the nine CJ-6's in this group (along with a couple of AT-6/SNJ's and four T-34's), three other CJ-6's were present. With the addition of the race number 74 Super Corsair, it was a real good day at Coolidge.

A couple of the T-34's, one with what are apparently external fuel tanks. Note the nose wheel angle on the one in the first photo. The B-model that the Navy used didn't have a steerable nose wheel, while the A-model that the Air Force used did. The second aircraft is apparently an export version that was originally sold to Spain.

Joe - Really like your red RV-4 shot.  Wish I could have made it out there today. Even had an offer by someone at work to fly out but had some business to attend to.

Thanks Scott.  Turned out to be one of the best fly-ins I've attended in terms of what showed up.

The other two T-34's. The second one looks very similar to the photo I took in 1967 of a Navy Reserve T-34.

Two non-local Nanchangs that showed up fairly late this morning. They are both registered in Prescott.

Thanks, Bill. My percentage of usable shots sure improved.

I haven't done an exact count, but there were about 100 planes there yesterday.

I remember last February it was pretty cold.

Solid shot of that SOKO 522 Kaspar!  Unfortunately, I didn't get any shots of it that I am satisfied with.

The pilot looks like he could be in the Yugoslavian Air Force.

This one's kind of been done to death here, but I wanted to add my two cents worth. With no flaps, this must be an adventure to land. This was only the first of several touchdowns during this landing.
