Wonderful set Scott. I've never had the chance to shoot the Prowler - maybe someday.

Thanks Jeff!  I've always liked the Prowler but the only ones I've photographed up until recently were a couple that were going into MASDC back around 1979 or so.  Not sure how long they'll be around.  I've heard VAQ-129 might not be coming back to NAF El Centro with Prowlers but it's not certain.

I am totally blown away Scott. As good as any A2A image I've ever seen. May I be so bold as to ask the details of you A2A mission?

Thank you Jeff!  That was taken from a KC-130J about 45 miles off the NC coast.  We were at 13,000 feet.  I forgot my light jacket so as a consequence I was partially frozen by the time we closed the ramp.

Well done Scott. Despite the cold air, I'm sure you were having a blast. When you get a few extra minutes, I'd love for you to share what lens, exif, etc you used. I'm guessing it is a different setup compared to when we shoot G2A at places like El Centro. For example, were you blasting away with your Mark4's burst rate or can you be more selective in pulling the trigger?

Phenomenal shot, Scott.  The Prowler is definitely at the top of my want-to-shoot-from-a-Herk list.

Any word on how much longer the VMAQs are going to be flying them?  I read a while back that they were on the chopping block.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Not sure how much longer they'll be flying.  I'll see if I can find out.  VAQ-129 will have at least one more Det at El Centro as I understand it.  This one was pure luck.  It wasn't even on the schedule until the last minute.
