Why do the Prowlers from VAQ-29  have Marines on on the right side and Navy on the left side?

VAQ-129 is the RAG for all NAVAIR Prowler crews, so they train both Navy and Marine aviators.  VFA-106 and -125 are the same way with their legacy Hornets, but not on their Super Hornets since the Marines don't fly those.

VMFAT-101 at Miramar is also in the same category, a Fleet Replacement Squadron. They train both Navy and Marines pilots on the F/A-18 and have both Navy and Marines on their airplanes.

Thanks Joe & Chris. I'm never too old to learn, now if I could only remember.
