Thanks Jay/Joe.  I thought that might be the case, but I've never actually seen them (the stains) on the returning Vipers into Luke.   This is a really nice shot.

Rockets fired from an A-10 kaboominate in the impact zone.  Note the fuse of one of the rockets ricocheting beyond the target.
