Rant = A sequential rip of shots from one event or location that take up significant space at one go.

In other words, a photo "essay" or a series of photos and not just one at a time.

Make Sense?

That makes complete sence. I was thinking rant meant something my kid does when he does not get his way.. lol

It's a term I picked up from posting on POTN.

Jason, your definition is familiar to all of us who have had teenage children...5 year olds in near adult bodies.  Fortunately, mine are  37 and 40.  Thanks Jay for the clarification.  I didn't know what rant meant either.

Jay Beckman

Another way to look at it is a momentary monopolizing of the bandwidth in a given thread or as a way to chuck up a bunch of images intended as a "catch up" within a given subject.

I meant to ask the range safety gentleman or the various pilots who were there whether or not they ever throw electronic threats at the drivers over the Goldwater range.

I was with an escorted group from the Arizona Pilots Association and Joe was my guest.  The APA was originally scheduled for this visit last spring but it was cancelled due to a weather-induced No Fly that day.

When was this? I got to go last year but didn't even hear of it this year.
Here are a few videos of last years fun

Are those dark spots along the port side of this Viper casue by out gassing from the gun or are they stains caused by the out gassing?

Jay Beckman

I'm thinking it's powder residue Vance.

Because the Vulcan is in the wing root and not on the centerline of the aircraft, the fire control wizardry actually imparts a little right yaw when the gun is fired and that might put more soot on the side than might be normal if the plane didn't yaw in compensation.

What Jay said.  But, this gun is actually in use too - you can barely make out the exhaust gasses trailing from the gun port, and I think the powder stains look darker from being in the "shadow" of the gas cloud.
