A couple of the Osprey leaving Paseo Highlands Park, where the Patriot Day event took place. Police closed a portion of Pinnacle Peak Road for the departure.





This one is at DVT. Unfortunately, the sun wouldn't cooperate and move over to the other side. Smoke started when the rotors started turning. It smells like hydraulic fluid burning. It was the same way at the park, so I guess it's somewhat normal for this one.

Very cool, glad you were able to make it out to the park to catch that.

Thanks. I wish I had been able to get it lifting off, but the police made everybody move away from the fence and down the street, at the request of the crew. Still worked pretty well though.

Apparently all three helicopters left the park about 6:00 PM yesterday.
