Something Old behind something New... (American's first 787 on short final for 25R, in front of a 737 on final for 26.  Just loving the look of that wing flex)

Takeoff roll...caught the strobe but none of the 'competition' in the background.

Similar to Ross's nice departure shot, I managed to catch the strobes as she climbs out for her flight back to DFW.

Brian, Matt, Ross & Dave - Terrific images of the Dreamliner. I love the lines of the platform and you guys did a nice job showing it off in some challenging conditions.

Thanks Jeffe,

Yep, those clouds really made it an interesting afternoon.  Hopefully they'll bring her back for another trip or two after the weather clears out in a few days.

If anyone from American Airlines (that also has some influence on scheduling the 787's test flights) happens to read this, having her either land or depart anytime during the hour before sunset would just provide some awesome lighting...hint hint  ;)

So will this operate under the same flight number (for alert purposes) or does the number change and you just have to watch El Paso -> Phoenix?

Thank you, Jeff! I love the lines of the 787 too, it's one sexy airplane. Last evening wasn't optimal for photography and I look forward to future opportunities.

Nice work guys! Been under the weather up until recently and haven't been too motivated to get out. Fortunately I still get to see the beautiful beast here. I have a friend at AA, I'll see if he has any info.  He's former US Airways so I'm not sure how connected he is to the AA side.
