While the 787 planform is still pretty new to me, I'm pretty confident I've identified this one correctly.  My first thought was that it looked like a 777 (200 series?), but the more I looked at it, the more I convinced myself it's actually a 787.  The color scheme seems to match up with United's livery too.  This was shot the other day, so not sure if I can go back and find flight data on it.

Having spent a little time around them at Oshkosh, Everett and PHX, it sure looks like a 787 to me.

Nice Catch!

It does look like a 787, and I believe United is flying theirs to LAX right now.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Now that I have completed the VFR element of my flight training at Goodyear, I am back in the UK for the remaining IFR flying. So no more clear Arizona skies for me, as evidence here is the first 787 to be delivered to BA on arrival at London Heathrow.

If I am a good boy and behave myself for a few years, may get to fly this beauty! Hope to be back on the mound at Gateway one day, no doubt there will still be Harriers on the line........
