Ha!  I have almost the exact same shot as the first one.  I mean, the crop is almost dead-nuts spot-on identical, just taken from a little bit closer to side-on and not as heavily-processed.  Great minds....

Solid shot, btw.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Joe - I can't believe you didn't feel my 100-400L resting on your shoulder when I tripped the shutter  ;D  I'm starting to look into the cockpit with greater interest instead of giving all my attention to the aircraft.

Yup.  Gotta shoot something when they're not moving.  Sometimes I like to tighten it up on the cockpit when they're taxiing in as well.

I'd imagine that'd be cheaper than adding the SAR window our rescue birds have.

What is that on the very tip of the nose?
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It's the old rescue-bird nose from back when they were still using the Fulton recovery system.
