Very nice shot Keith, I waited for over an hour and I finally called ops and they said this guy would be in around 6:30 and I wasn't going to wait that long. There were 2 scheduled in and 1 cancelled, glad you caught it in good light.

KeithS

Thanks.  I happened to be in the back yard when I saw it come in low on final.  He did a go-around (touch and go?) and I was able to set up for a better angle. It was into blowing dust right before landing.

Great catch Keith!

John S, I love my 800e...best camera I've ever used. The cropping ability for aviation shooting is fantastic. Awesome detail too, great for landscapes.
For sports though, you may want more FPS, and a deeper buffer if you shoot in RAW. Then again, it may be sufficient for you, I don't shoot sports, so I really don't know. Not familiar with the 750. To be honest, I've been so satisfied with my 800e that I haven't been keeping up with Nikon's latest offerings. Perhaps you could rent one for a try out?

Very nice indeed! What sort of shutter speeds etc are you using Harvey?

Thank you Scott, this was 2.8 with the 300mm, 1/20 of a second, my panning practice is starting to pay dividends. Hand held also. ;)

Thank you Jeff, got to work at 2pm and we were told a B-1 would be coming through for an instrument approach about the time the KC was inbound. KC made it, the B-1 never did, oh well, aviation photography.  ???

Scott Youmans

Nicely composed shot of that semi-dirigable Harvey. Looks like the recent rains paid off with a little green grass.  In regard to your 1/20th sec panning shot, I think I need some instruction from you!

Thank you very much Jay, I posted a few weeks ago that a comment from fellow AzAP members means a lot to me and I appreciate that very much. I am always amazed by your work and would like to someday get nearer to your level, at this point I marvel at your accomplishments with the camera and processing skills. Thanks again Jay.
