The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

The observation tower on the Flavel House in Astoria, OR. Very cool old house built in the late 1800s by Capt. George Flavel.

The Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood, OR. This is where "The Shining" was filmed, though the hotel itself only resembles the hotel in the movie on the exterior.
