A former college classmate of mine now directs the NBC Nightly News and he credits an uncle of his for being the influence that made him decide to go into News.

His uncle was a photojournalist with the Toledo Blade in Ohio for many, many years and there has been a Blurb Book published as a retrospective on his career.

Just wanted to pass along the link in case anyone in the group collects histories on photographers and/or photography.

I'll see your miss feeds and raise you a miss fire.

This happened to me back on the 31st. Had a bad round (I hope!), having the head space checked to be safe. Aside from some hot gasses in the face, it certainly got my attention!

Here are a couple of pictures from back East of the family dog playing in the snow.

Dang Chris.  That's definitely a big-boy malf.  Glad you're okay.  Good call on the headspace check.

Mitchell - love that last shot.

That dog is definitely having fun.

Yeah, she loves to play in the snow and the problem comes when she comes inside all wet and doesnt want to be dried off.

Going way off on a tangent.  Efforting a business card design:

Domain Name is real but not hot yet.  I hope to eventually rebrand and tie this to my Zenfolio...

Awesome.

The font is a bit Creature from Hangar 99-ish, but other than that, I dig it.  Looking forward to seeing what you get set up.

It's a work in progress.  It was suggested elsewhere that I should effort making it look more like "Nose Art" so I need to find some clean, riveted, aluminum aircraft skin and have a little more fun with it.

Wish I was artitistic enough to borrow a section of Sentimental Journey and replace Betty Grable...  I know that's sacrelegious but...

Wonder if I have any good clean looks at the front cowling area of Red Dog or any other Mustang?  Hmmm...  ;D

There's a ton of nose art out there, I'm sure you can find something.

What I'm looking for though is the area of an aircraft where the nose art would be but without nose art so I can create it as a logo...

The search begins!  C'mon February @ Coolidge (or a visit to Pima or the CAF)

Jay, Photo Fanny is at Willie right now and her right side is nose-art-free, and they've been parking her with the right side facing the fence.

And Ned, that Hawk image is outstanding!
