Nice Dave. I thought I knew how to photograph birds until I tried hummingbirds. Taking the winter off to study for the summer.  :'(

James,

Thanks.  First time I've ever tried.  Started with a wide open aperture (for the fastest shutter speed), and then I sat there waiting for fleeting moments when they'd come take a drink.

Helped a buddy shoot UofA @ ASU on Saturday.

Gallery of images is Here.  Check the © in the bottom right corner but I'd say 75% of the shots are mine.

It was a lot of fun but I'm sore as hell today!

Thanks very much.

It was difficult though to not shoot the airliners passing overhead.  I'm still an aviation guy at heart!  ;D

Your Momma's a smart lady!   ;D

Something aviation-related that isn't, but it is, kinda, sorta...

From well out in Left Field...

I just got an email informing me that I'd been selected as an "Outstanding Gallery" at http://www.todaysphoto.org/
(I'm like the third or fourth link down their page)

Unexpected but certainly welcome PR for my efforts!!  ;D
