Wow, a bunch of Yanks around here.  I was born on Westover Air Force base in '67, and grew up in Chicopee.  Moved to AZ when I was 12...

Scott,

Looks like it was quite a successful trip to Baja.  Also looks like it can get quite exciting being close to the race course as they come barreling through.

It was an excellent trip.

Almost every year, you hear about someone getting hit and hurt, or killed, who was too cose to the action. It's part of the whole Baja thing. After hearing our stories from going down there, most people say the same thing........."You wouldn't get me down there in a million years".

I actually had my first dead Mexican body sighting this year. We were coming up from Gonzaga last Friday and came upon a car accident just outside San Felipe. The driver took a corner too hot, his car rolled and ejected him. It landed on him, killing him. He was barely covered by a small sheet as he lay there on the side of the road, while the cops directed traffic around him. The irony is that he was in a relatively new car, which I am sure had modern seatbelts. Had he been wearing one, he'd be alive today. The roof did not even collapse on the roll.

Or maybe the cartels made it look like a rollover accident...

Honestly, Baja has very little of that sort of thing, compared to Mexico Proper. I'll rush through Juarez in daylight, but I'll never worry about hanging out in San Felipe in the evening. Things are different in Baja. Even the drug lords know this.

Very nice work Glenn.  All three are top notch.  Gotta love the "hydroplane" landing gear.

Ned,

That shot is gorgeous.  I've always wanted to go to Bosque del Apache.  I'd love to chat with you about it some time.

Looking forward to seeing more.
