Awesome shot Jay.

I have a shot I still need to post of this aircraft taken at almost the exact same time as this one, based on its position.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

Thanks. He keeps that pose for quite a while!
DX camera...so it's more like 75mm.

Only got a couple good cracks at the Eclipse but this one stuck I think:

23:54 MST .. about one third of the way to totality

1DMkIV + 500mm f/4L IS + 1.4X TC .. 1/250 @ f/6.3 ISO 1600
Approximately a 30% Crop

Those antlers must really hurt the aerodynamics.  ;D

Couple of pics of the custom guitar I had built for my brother. He was the only person who helped my mother in her fading years because he and she live in Florida. She died last year. As a way to say thanks for all he did, I hired a luthier to build him the guitar of his dreams. My brother has tons of FF miles, so he flew out once for the initial consult on the build, another time for a test fit (I wasn't kidding when I said custom) and a third time to pick it up.

My P&S failed the day he picked it up, and it was going right into a shipping container that same day, so I told him he better get me some pics when he got it home. it only took him three months. ???

I need to tell him about the macro setting on his camera.  ;D

He says it's the best guitar he has ever played.

Mission accomplished.
