Very cool pano Chris. How many shots are stitched together in this final image? Was it a royal pain to achieve or not so bad?

Thanks Jeff!  This is a 13 shot pano.  Set my 70-200 at 130mm, manual focus / exposure on a tripod.  Imported all 13 RAW files into Lightroom 4 then did did the "Edit In - Photoshop CS5 merge to panorama"  My computer buckled under the pressure and took almost 45 minutes to stitch and blend.  Once I had the image back into Lightroom it wasn't so bad though.  I wish I could put the full 40,000 pixel wide image up but it's like 3gb.  I want to make some crazy huge print from this but I know it will cost a fortune.  But I thought a wall sized print would be awesome in the living room.

For reference my computer is a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.9 ghz overclocked to 3.7 ghz, 8gb of ram and a 128gb SSD drive so YMMV.

Don't know exactly which mountain range this would be but I was about a mile west of where you turn off the I-40 on to state route 93 down towards Wickenburg

I shoot mine in portrait orientation so it takes more shots to cover an area...

People tell me motorcycles are scary and dangerous. I don't believe them.

Sometimes it can be difficult to keep the bike pointing in a straight line. I don't think he's too concerned. He's done this three times before.....Seriously.



And sometimes the bikes just want to jump for joy. Who are we to say no? 



Ultimately, my friend who I was there to see (Karen Wagner) won her ET class with a 10.13, up against a faster bike.
