QuoteBill, Chris, just read this post realized that perhaps the "Turbo" in the name doesn't mean turbocharged!  Is it turbine powered or turbocharged? Pretty cool aircraft in either case.
Scott,
Sorry I haven't had much opportunity to respond, been busy flying the 206s for the last couple weeks. Both 206's have the Rolls Royce turbines installed and it's a tremendous amount of power for a light aircraft and yes its a blast to fly even heavily loaded. However, the Helio Courier was also a blast to fly. It was powered with the 250C Rolls turbine. The C model engines had a little bit less power than the F models do, still it had plenty of power. Tower guys(at TUS that is) often told me that they couldn't wait to see the Courier come out on a windy day. Short field take-offs and landings and slow flight characteristics is where this plane stood out. This one was originally a tail dragger and flew on a few flights as a tail dragger with the turbine engine. With the aft CG it was a handful to say the least... there were some ohh $&#@ moments before it was decided to make her a tri-gear, even as a tri-gear she could be a handful to fly.. but fun nonetheless.

Love that shot Chris.  Always had a soft spot for the Courier as well.  Still in active service down there?
