Got up early and drove down to PHX to get the AN124-100 as it departed. The sky's were overcast and the air was really dirty so the pics are crap :-(

Antonav 124 Line up and wait.

Like the angle and the light on that last one, Matt.

Matt, great shot. As Joe mentioned, the light is beautiful.

Thanks Joe and Scott!  There was an approaching storm, and this was some of the last light before the clouds completely closed in and ice started falling from the sky (http://azaerophoto.com/forum/index.php?topic=19.msg41011#msg41011).

I was lucky to be with Matt on this particular afternoon and had a great time shooting both pre-storm and during the rain/hail - lots of fun and some very interesting light. This shot was taken shortly after Matt's 757 - just before the dark clouds took control.

Those are both fantastic shots with perfect lighting. The planes look so clean like they were just washed and waxed. :-)

Cheers,
Chris

From a series of early morning images I took during my initiation into the "Breakfast Club" of AzAP shooters two days before Christmas. Breakfast at the Waffle House, rubbing shoulders with good people - all mixed with a liberal dose of high ISO - I had a great time. Fooling with this image gets me looking forward to Christmas 2013.

Jeff, the color and light are perfect, I've never seen a FedEx look any better than this, your processing is top notch also.

Thanks Harvey. The winter morning light was terrific and Jay showed me how to use my 'Auto ISO' feature. In other words, I got lucky  :D
