The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

When I overcame my "aluminum tube" allergy during the Christmas onslaught of heavies, it was too late in the year to catch one of BA's "Jumbos" arriving at Sky Harbor in reasonable light. This evening I was determined to wait until she arrived; even though the clouds were blocking the setting sun. As "oneworld" turned on final, it was apparent my silent prayers for a last minute shaft of sunshine would go unanswered. I cranked the ISO to 800, the shutter speed to 1/60th, and added +2/3 EV. Not the results I had envisioned, but is was a fun exercise nevertheless. I appreciate Matt hanging in there with me while I kept praying for the sun to find a sliver of open space in the clouds. I found it extremely difficult to operate my camera properly with my fingers crossed  ;D

Here is my best image from the evening effort.

The day this photo was taken was a pivital one for me not only was it my FIRST time shooting a Russian aircraft it was also my first chance to do so with another member of AzAP, I met Joe C. out at 40th st (my first time there as well) I remember thinking it was odd that two guys were standing together taking photos of the same plane, lol man I had no clue, but I had a tragedy that day too, my dog 'Mitzi' who was 20 had suffered a stroke when I got home and passed in my arms later that night but that was the beginning of over three great years and even know I have this uncanny ability to piss people off I hope to be with you guys many many more years..........
