My big plans for adverse weather photography at KPHX disappeared nearly as quickly as the sunshine went to hide behind the clouds. The rain was very tardy in arriving and they never switched runways. Aircraft were coming and going in all the wrong directions and the combination of events was definitely not what I had hoped for. Oh well, that's how the ball bounces. I did get a few keepers and enjoyed complaining about conditions (or the lack thereof) to Joe, Matt and Paul.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

. . . AND BABY MAKES THREE

Another almost-but-not-quite shot.  For years I've been after a nose-on shot of Honeywell's 757 on short final with an engine mounted on the test pylon.  Yesterday yielded the right combination of winds from the east and an arrival time I could actually make, but the clouds were not what I had planned, and even though I adjusted my position for the a nose-on shot with the crosswind, I still didn't move far enough left.  Still satisfied with the shot, just not the one I've been after.  Guess I'll just have to keep plugging away.
