Sonic boom from air show jets rattles Tucson area

My wife heard the loud boom in Northwest Tucson, about 12 miles from D-M and I heard nothing at D-M right beside the tower. Go figure!

I just checked my photo sequence as there were only two aircraft flying at 2:45 - one was the F-16D #4. These two were tooling around after the others had landed.

I'm betting someone had an airspeed indication problem and didn't even realize he was going that fast.  No way that a Thunderbird makes a mistake like that.  From the drivers seat there is no indication that you've just broke the sound barrier other than the Airspeed Indicator.
