Wow, nice catch!!  Might not be "perfect" light, but a damn fine shot nonetheless!

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

very nice I was putting up xmas lights and this guy flew over my house a couple times, and I just thought it was another AZ Guard KC-135.

Willie has been extra "on" lately.  Caught this TACAMO doing touch-and-goes this evening on my way home from work.  Had I left five minutes earlier, I would have caught it in some gorgeous light just before sunset.

Nice Catch Joe!

Any chance you shot this in RAW?  You just might have enough lattitude to pull that moon back while boosting the jet a little via masking.  This thing stood out like a sore thumb.  I could see it going round the patch from all the way over at Chandler Muni.

Nah, shot it in JPEG, but I can definitely see the value of shooting this in RAW.  Good moon shots and good airplaine-in-a-dark-sky shots unfortunately demand different exposures.  And thanks guys.

More awesomeness from Willie.  Along with the TACAMO yesterday, we had a PZL M28 from the 318th Special Operations Squadron come through in the afternoon.

Out at Willie this AM
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

There's a "wet Willie" joke somewhere in here.
