Cropped more than I generally like, but felt it was needed to catch the interesting effects of the vortices.

Awesome catch on those vortices, Dave!  No idea where you were shooting from to catch that, but it looks like an interesting spot.  Great angle on the BA 747 as well.  That looks like a great spot to shoot from during the summer.  Is it still accessible?  (I think Joe Kates has shot from there before, but said something about not being able to shoot from there anymore).

Joe-

That spot is completely closed off now, the road is even fenced. I went over there a couple of weeks ago. I think it's an attempt to keep people away from the fuel farm and the new radar tower.

Well, that blows.  Aside from the fence, that looked like a really good spot.

Awesome picture. It looks like you were on the north side of the airport. Did you just time that location well because Im not keen on waiting there too long as there is no good place to park.

Dave S.

Mitchell,

The BA shot was not taken at/near the old dirt lot on Airlane.  I was further west.  I do think it's a shame they closed and fenced that area off.

Dave, are you ever going to share with us your secret PHX location?  It's an amazing vantage point!
