It appears to be coming from the right wing tank.  The F15 that departed just ahead of this one was venting some fuel and it got in the afterburner plume and made a large quick burst of orange flame, not all that unusual.

Where is it venting it from? I was under the impression that the fuel dump vent was located closer to the right wing tip, past the aileron.

On a different note why do I get this colour tone (purple tinge) when I convert the image from RAW to JPEG?
