Dug this one out from the archives. Was shooting some interesting cloud formations when I happened to capture a BA A320 on approach to LHR. Circa 2009..

Virgin America Airbus A320-214 N641VA at LAX on September 21. It first flew as F-WWDS on October 6, 2008. Its construction number is 3656. It was delivered to Jazeera Airways on October 27, 2008. It was leased to Virgin America on June 18, 2010.

Taking a few shots from my driveway, catching some nice sunset light on the nose.  Close...but not quite lined up straight overhead.

This guy passed almost directly over my house, and I really liked how the light was hitting it.  Still after my proverbial 'white whale' in terms of getting it perfectly lined up overhead, but this one is SO close.

It started out pretty much as an accident during the PS clean up and editing process and only involved the part of the background sky, but kind looked like it might have potential so I reset what I was doing and started over.  I'll write up an explanation and post it later today.  Thanks for the note.
