Thanks James.  This was pretty much a luck shot.  I was going to Luke to take photos, but didn't know the E-6 was coming.  At first I thought it might have been a KC-135 because he was backlit by the sun.  Fortunately I already had my big lens mounted and was able to get these shots.  There were a few more but they were really blown out by the brightly backlit sky.  My editing skills are lacking so I'm not sure how to fix shots when that happens.  Maybe you just can't.  Thanks for your comment.  Hope you and all the AZAP contributors have a great New Year celebration and a very successful 2011.  Happy New Year.

Short of major reconstructive Photoshop, not much you can do with that kind of "high" sky Vance...

Good job on getting the exposure on the plane itself.

Thanks Jay.  I picked up my new camera yesterday (D300s w/18-200 mm lens).  Still trying to figure out the million or so layers of menu. I am amazed at how much better this camera is in low light .  ;D Wow!
