Happy 75th Birthday DC-3

Scanned from photos over 20 years old, not good quality.

Douglas DC-3A-197 (RHD - Right Hand Door) "Mainliner Reno" (1910)(NC6070)(United Airlines) Delivered 11/25/1936, Loaned to Eastern Airlines 1938, returned to United Airlines 1938 until 09/29/1953. Currently in McMinnville, OR and is the second oldest surviving DC-3.

Left Gear (camera right) looks as if the struts need re-charging.  Definitely settling a little bit on that side...

The last photo is a "Super Gooney" (C-117) with different engines than the Gooney (C-47, DC-3) and larger tail. Notice the intake under the engine. You can see the C-117D at PASM at: http://www.pimaair.org/collection-detail.php?cid=82

Skydive Arizona DC-3 N86584 made an impressive low pass at the Copperstate Fly-in at Casa Grande, yesterday.
