The browns work well, the Mark III is very nice, I've been using mine lately with the Canon 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens.  Makes for a nice small package to walk around with.

Cool! I haven't figured out the "small easy to carry" thing yet!
My 5D is gripped and I have a 1Dx. As my favorite three lenses are the Zeiss, my 24-70 v1, and a 70-200 2.8 v2.. I'm lugging about 20 lbs of camera crap before I even think about tripods! Ha ha!
Gonna have a real problem if I lay my hands on a super tele!

I really wanted the Eos-m to be a contender but everyone says with the STM lenses it was designed to take its super slow to focus! Essentially its like leaving a T3i in Live View mode permanently. Would have been a cool 18mp pocket cam! Hopefully V2 won't take too long to emerge!

BTW, looked at some of your pics. Amazing stuff. I need to make a point of getting to the right place at the right time. Work and family are tough obstacles to get around!

Thanks regarding pics.  I have a similar kit and it can be a back breaker.

Playing with my new Zeiss 21mm f2.8

Terrific image. I really like the warm sepia treatment. The Zeiss ZE 21mm f/2.8 lens has been on my wish list for two years now. IMO, the Zeiss lenses are as good as it gets. They render images with a wonderful and unique tonality. They are also built like a combo Swiss watch and M1A1 Abrams tank. B&H sells a wonder set of six prime Zeiss lenses for Canon shooters. Each lens in the group is highly rated. I just need the six grand and my dreams become reality  ;D

Thanks Jeff!
I considered the kit as its much cheaper in the long run. Problem is they released the 15mm 2.8 which is on my list! It's half the price of the whole kit!!
The only other lens I am lusting for is the 35mm f1.4.
I'm going with the theory that the wide end of my lens collection will eventually be Zeiss but longer needs to be canon with the AF. The only thing I'm missing on the Canon front is a super tele.
Ahh to dream!!

I have the same goal for my wide lenses. The 35mm f1.4 is considered as good as it gets for that focal length - the ultimate street photography lens. I'm with you on the 15mm f2.8; it's like high grade heroin. I'm told by a friend that has one that the bokeh on the 100mm f2 is to die for. All this Zeiss talk has got me drooling again ;D

Hmmmm...a Zeiss 100mm f/2 does sound nice. Off to the internet to assess the potential financial damage.  I have an old but mint Nikon 105mm f/2.5 than has really nice bokeh but I'm sure the Zeiss is phenomenal.  I see Canon has just anounced a 35mm f/2 with IS.  Interesting.  How long before we get kicked off of the Stearman page?
