Any tips from Copperstate veterans for those of us that haven't been there before?

Good shoes, H2O, Big hat, Money, Have fun.
"You don't become a professional simply by earning certificates, adding ratings, or getting a paycheck for flying. Rather, professionalism is a mindset. It comes from having the attitude, the ethics, and the discipline to do the right thing — every time, all the time, regardless of who's watching."

Might possibly be even more important than fluids.  You can (will) do a lot of walking at Copperstate.

My one key tip: Go Early!  Because it's surrounded by naked desert, the heat haze at Casa Grande will kill you after about 10am.  Added bonus is good easterly light in the morning if they're landing on RWY 5...

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Saturday has more going on, BUT, you got 10,000 kids and people that just love to stand in your way as you "try" and take photos. Think air shows out at Luke.

The only problem I had at Copperstate last year was some jackhole who stood out along the taxiway from the runway to the ramp.  Had to clone him out of a few shots.  Other than that, the line along the edge of the ramp taxiway is perfect and more or less uncluttered.

Oh, speakers were a problem as well.  But the crowds really weren't, unless you wanted static shots.  Then the crowds suck.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

The press release page on the Copperstate website seems to be update often. They just added info about the PB4Y-2 on there as well as a few other things for anyone who hasn't seen it already.
