So, Dayton was on my way back home and the museum is only a few minutes from the interstate. I wish I spent more time there, but I guess that means I will just have to return. Note to anyone who visits, the lighting really sucks in there.

I may be wrong but the last few postings I've seen from here on other boards (POTN, FC, etc...) all claimed that they used a tripod and the museum didn't say boo about it.

Just a note for anyone contemplating a future visit.  But yes, the place is an absolute cave...

Yes you did, but I was trying to drive a certain bit, so that took precedent.

The Valkyrie is inside - in the R&D gallery - that is located within the base.

It's a crying shame that the inside is such a cave though...

Thanks Jay.  I was surprised how dark it was in there.  The lighting was barely good enough for viewers who were just looking at the exhibits.  I can't wait to get back when I can spend an entire day or two just taking my time.  This last visit was a one hour sprint.

Unfortunately I didn't bring mine with me.  I'm going to have to invest in a small lightweight one that I can throw in my suitecase for low light situations like this.
