This didn't fly at Chino but it was on static display and I'm reading where it will fly at EAA AirVenture 2010 at Oshkosh along with the non-Chino Zeke
(The complete Zero airframe that doesn't have the original engine...)

What the Focke!  It's a damn shame that I'll be missing AirVenture this year!

Victor Archer posted some dSLR video from the Silver Unlimited and seeing the two F7Fs cranking accross the desert was pretty cool.

I kept waiting for the bombs to drop!

I know, right?  If only some B-17 waist gunners or P-51 jocks had been better shots...

I'm pretty sure that is a replica.

The "P-51" that crashed up there was a replica, built from a kit from a company called Thunder Mustangs.

IIRC, the engine is not original and they had to fabricate some parts but this Fw-190 is roughly 70-75% authentic content.

Yeah Chris I read about that "Thunder Mustang" called Rapid Travel ,it was pretty cool they did everything to it like a full size racing mustang ,lowered canopy ,clipped wings and a hot engine a Falconer V-12 http://www.falconerengines.com/bio/bio_v12.php with twin turbo's plus I know how certain folks are all up in arms about these warbids being raced it seemed like a great alternative ,seems like they need some new ideas plus I heard that Tsunami is being rebuilt ,too bad they couldent build a new pond racer too

Steve Hinton will be flying the FW-190 on Saturday Jan 8th, 2011 at the Planes of Fame museum located in Chino, CA.  This is one of their monthly Living History flying events.

Anyone hear about Paul Allen rolling out a freshly restored EW-190 this week?

I think the intended debut got rained out this past weekend.  FHC shows a Luftwaffe Day scheduled for August 6th which is when I think it will make the public debut.
