The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Outstanding shot, Zdenek!

Tonight's evening departure of BAW 288, non-stop to London.  Departed just after the sun had set; not the most ideal settings.

Amazing shots. Now where were you at the end of the runway to get these?

Dave S.

Okay - these are for Joe,

Sorry about the fence posts in the first and second shots.  My project today was to build a box to help boost me higher than the fence.  It partially worked, but I have an addition to make so that I clear all of the posts.  Anyway, back to the images.  Due to winds from a monsoon storm rolling in this evening, departures were being made to the east, instead of the usual westbound departures.  Along with those favorable winds, were some clouds that did one heck of a job at blocking the light from the setting sun.  Bummer, as I had to once again bump to a 400 ISO equivalent.

Good shots given the conditions - I really like that last shot.

Wonder what this would have looked like from the north garage in the east economy lot.  Seems like a cool time of year to mess around with sunset/silhouette shots.
