American Airlines to retire its 'Super 80' fleet on 4 September
American Airlines announced it will retire the final 26 members of MD-80 fleet on 4 September. We dubbed the first mass-retirement flights in 2016 the 'Super 80 Send Off' and we'll have special coverage of the flights as well as a special episode of AvTalk from inside one of the retirement flights and Roswell where the aircraft will be stored.
