Don't know if this has been posted yet or not, but sounds like it'll be a good one.

Does anyone plan on carpooling down to Tucson for the show?  How about El Centro and returning that night?  Would like to get in a couple shows with one T-Birds and one Blue Angels before I move back east.  Don't think my wife would be up for these and I don't want to drive solo to them.  I sure more will happen as it gets closer.  By the way I'm out in San Tan Valley (Queen Creek), Ironwood and Ocotillo.

The DM show this year will feature a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) demonstration simulating the rescue of a downed pilot behind enemy lines. The demo will include four A-10s, two F-16s, two HH-60G Pave Hawks, one HC-130P and seven pararescue team members. They will likely be practicing this during the week leading up to the air show.

The best photos are usually on the arrival days when all the aircraft come in for the static diplays. Arrivals are on Wed, Thursday and Friday with the majority coming in on Thursday. Mark your calendars now and plan to come to Tucson on Thursday March 18th.

This sounds like a good one. I did something like this back when Scottsdale still had their show. My son and I got to stand about as close as one can get to a Harrier as it landed. It was excellent.

Is there a particular location where you guys go to take arrival pictures?

I could kill two birds with one stone on this day. Get some great shots, and have a Sonoran hot dog done right.

Let's pre-write the "turn that sh*t up!" letters now.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

"If you've seen my work, you'd know I really can't take photos of any aircraft."

So now we get to the universal question:

Will DM enforce the policies as written or will they be like Nellis and Luke over the last couple of years and actually allow camera bags (even huge ones)?

I'm coming out for the show and my wife and I will be staying with her parents who live about 15 miles south of Queen Creek just off the E Hunt Highway.  Maybe we can work out something.  We'll be coming into town on the 18th.

There is an F-35 mock-up floating around.  I remember seeing it at Miramar several years ago.  I hope that isn't what they are going to have on display at DM...

I like the bit about military uniforms being worn by non-military members...
