Who'll be attending this show?  It's going to be the commemorating the 75th D-Day anniversary, and it's going to be an awesome airshow!

I know that there is going to be a bit of a black cloud over this one with the recent loss of David Vopat and the museum's Flying Wing, and while very, very sad, it is still going to be an awesome weekend.  Planes of Fame is planning to do a Missing Man Formation in remembrance of David Vopat, so there will that tug at the heartstrings...

Anyway, Rylan and I received our media credentials today, and we are really looking forward to the show!  Unfortunately, we will only be able to attend the Saturday show.

I never met David Vopat in person, but we did chat online a couple of times.  I'm sure that the recent loss of David and the PoF's Flying Wing hit many other's much harder than myself, but I did certainly feel a loss after this horrible accident.

I was really looking forward to seeing David and the Flying Wing perform during the upcoming airshow, but this will not be the case.

Not much, but this is my tribute to David the the Flying Wing.  This is David flying the Flying Wing during the 2017 PoF Airshow.  David and I laughed about this photo after the airshow, as the Flying Wing carried Jelly Belly logos during this flight, but they seemed to have fallen off when I edited this photograph.
