They have a new two-seat dual-control TP-40N that is supposed to join the tour "this Spring", but no date has been announced that I have seen.

They have a new two-seat dual-control TP-40N that is supposed to join the tour "this Spring", but no date has been announced that I have seen.

Mac Transtrum, local Pitts Model 12 owner/builder, and Collings Foundation pilot just got checked out in a P-40.  I expect we may be seeing him flying the TP-40N during it AZ tour.

I emailed Collings and asked when the TP-40 would be on the tour and this was their reply:

We are hoping that it will be ready in the next 2-3 weeks, but we do not have a definite date. Unless something unexpected comes up it will be with the tour by the time they get to AZ.
