A2A imagery from my father's files. Dad said this photo was taken at his CO's request for their 1958 squadron Christmas card. Dad took this image using a Folmer Graflex K21 camera that produced a 5x7 negative from roll film. He said the K21 was a heavy and unwieldy tool in the back seat area of a military fighter. No offense intended, but I always thought the 'D' model was plain ugly with that big black nose.

Pretty sure these were F-86Ls with the SAGE modifications rather than straight Ds.

Taking a bit more pride in the dirt on the front of my shirt and the faded spots on the knees of my jeans after seeing this.
