I'm one of the admins for the Aviation Enthusiast Book Club group on Facebook.  It's a phenomenal place to learn about new books coming out, buy or sell aviation-related books, review books you've read, and even save some money, as more and more publishers and booksellers pass along discounts and contests to the group.  For anyone interested, here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/359410134220076/.

Along those lines, I thought I'd start a thread here on the forum where we can discuss books relating to aviation, photography, or the intersection of the two, or even books having nothing to do with any of it.

Heads-up on a pretty sweet sale over at the Aviation Bookshop in the UK - https://www.aviation-bookshop.com/hub.htm.  They're currently selling several titles published by Harpia for £15 plus shipping.  One of the titles on offer is Katsuhiko Tokunaga's 'Silver Wings,' a photo book on the Croatian Air Force.  I know, I know.  Croatian Air Force?  But seriously, it's a phenomenal photo book, with some terrific air-to-air shots of MiG-21s, Mi-17s, and a pretty righteous little fleet of aerial firefighting planes.

The 'African Migs' and 'Arab Migs' series are supposed to be outstanding as well.  I've been eyeballing 'Latin American Fighters' for a while so I'm pouncing on that.

Best way to order from the States is to email them at info@aviation-bookshop.com.

For anyone who is a fan of good deals on amazing photobooks, Peter Lewis' book 'Amir' about the Swiss Air Force's recce Mirage IIIs is being price-reduced from 80 Swiss Francs to 50.  That's still around $50 US plus shipping, but I am not kidding when I say this is one of the finest books I own, packing with beautiful shots of delta-winged gorgeousness above the majestic Alps.  It actually comes as part of a set with another book that is entirely aerial images of Switzerland with a map showing the location where the image was taken.

Looks like the price hasn't updated yet, but if you're interested, here's the link: http://www.teammedia.ch/?product=amir-mirage-iiir
