Scott I am absolutely in love with that Mystere shot.  I'm guessing that's another Takumar image?
"I'm sorry sir, you can't take photos of that aircraft."

Thank you Joe! Yes, taken with a 50mm Takumar at f/2 on an X-T1 body (1.5x crop). The bokeh is nice but in retrospect I wish the canopy was in slightly better focus but it would sharpen up the background too.  There are some issues (in my mind at least) with the editing so I might have another go at it.

The second edit on the Mystere is just awesome...  Suburb!!!

I really like both of your Mystère edits Scott. In fact, I believe your framing and composition is so strong it would be an excellent image with many types of post processing. That being said, your second "attempt" is my current favorite. The desaturated look is ever so slightly more appealing to me.

Thank you Anna and Jeff! I was originally going to go for a monochrome redo but decided to keep in a hint of color and play down the contrast a bit. I wanted to retain at least a little more of the actual look. If only the smell of the rain soaked desert and the sound of distant thunder could be piped in somehow.

Scott and Jeff:  It looks like you had a productive day.  Those moments without direct sunlight are the moments of the best light out there!   :)
