OK Jay, you've been home for like 24 hours. Let's see some pics.

Anna, same thing.   ;D

I did not take many pictures at Oshkosh...  Was relaxing most of the week I was there.   Will likely not be posting any.

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."
In Greek legend, he was the son of the God Apollo who was accidentally killed when he stepped over the white line.

Jay just posted something about starting his OSH import last night, so give the man some room.

Also, EAA is still adding Oshkosh images to its Flickr page, and Jay's got quite a few in the mix for anyone interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/eaaairventureoshkosh

Massive upload of Jim Koepnick's shots on that Flickr feed today, definitely worth checking out.

So, I'm back from about 12 days in the northeast, shooting Fireball Run again. Our crew this year was excellent. With the exception of the girl in the pic, these are the people I drove and worked with for eight days. The shot was taken by the other photographer.....A kid with a killer light setup (Alien Bees).

It was long days. Anywhere from 16 to 19 hours every day, for ten days. I met some cool people, saw some cool things.

My favorite pic I took was with my friggin' cell phone. I couldn't stop to break out the good gear. Somewhere in Penn. or New York. I don't recall.

I hung out with Larry Holmes.

I got to hang out on hallowed ground (for me). The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Anthony Bourdain's alma mater. I loved the crosswalk signs there.

And the food wasn't bad either.  8) We got a bucket of pastries to take on the road. They were amazing.

There's tons more we did and saw. I just don't have time to post it all. I have a gallery with random cell phone pics here:

Can't really share the stuff I did for the job, as I don't own it.

OK, I've talked about it before. Star Wars Canyon. It's about an eight hour drive. I'd like to spend a couple days there. Bring lawn chairs, umbrellas for shade, etc. Make the wait comfortable, and hopefully get some bitchin' shots.

Anyone else want to seriously consider making a road trip in the next month or two?

I could do an overnight at the most, but am very interested in doing. Some shooting out there.

Any idea on when you would want to go? I'm assuming it has to be a week day. Can we get any intel on potential traffic through the canyon?
