I walked outside around 4:15 with the dog for our morning walk. I saw what I thought was the remains of a launch from White Sands. Turns out I was about 20 minutes late to seeing an amazing light show.

My wife said it lit up the whole inside of the house, she thought someone was outside with a camera flash.  I missed it, sleeping at the time.

I was in my back yard at 3:55 in the morning when it lit up like a helicopter searchlight was shining into the yard.  I looked up and saw the brightest meteor I have ever seen.  It flared brightly a few times and then broke into pieces as it headed for the eastern horizon. The whole thing lasted just a few seconds. I bet it dropped meteorites in New Mexico.

Saw the "smoke" from Yuma... I too thought I had missed a launch from White Sands.
