Beautiful light, great capture Joe. I have a friend in the tower at Gateway now, he's in the process of getting rated. I hope he makes it, I've never been in that tower. Reference the lighting, what would be the best time of day to shoot from the tower, in your opinion. Thanks.

Any time past noon is good, but the later in the day, the better the light gets, right up until sunset.

A tiny piece of me regrets going to Chicago last week and not being able to shoot all the Marine Week stuffs.  Excellent stuff.

Just standing by the fence at Gateway when a Marine passed by and asked if I wanted to go inside and see the aircraft up close. Don't mind if I do. :)

Tower Guy

Very nice photos Jonathan, the low angle of attack you used worked very well.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I need to know how many V-22s participated in Marine Week.  Pretty sure it was three, but just need someone to confirm that.  Anyone still have their shots from that week who can confirm that?  Thanks!
