Very cool shot Joe, maybe they could patrol I-10 with this to lure the idiot shooter out in the open, and then eliminate the problem.

Thanks Harvey.  The freeway shooter case is certainly spooky.  The cops could certainly use some help from the Marines, who have extensive counter-sniper experience from Iraq and Afghanistan, that's for sure.

SHIP TO SHORE TO OBJECTIVE

SNEAKER-PEEKER

Dave S. doesn't wear this on his sleeve, but he was an LAV-25 guy when he was in the Corps.

ROCKET MAN

The HIMARS rocket artillery system is mindblowing.  With the push of a button, you can deliver six 500-lb. warheads on targets up to 190 miles away.

Oh sweet!  You were able to get south of the LZ?

I did get on the south side, but I had a relentless stream of visitors. I was challenged by two female Marines that jogged over to see who I was and why I was in their restricted area. I showed them my DOD badge and they were satisfied with that. Five minutes later 2 Glendale police on bikes approached me and I gave them the same story. They had me show them DOD, Air Traffic Control Licenses and retired military card. Then they left me there. Ten minutes later a Marine Lt. came over and checked my ID's and said he'd have to take my name and check it against some list. I was hoping the choppers would get there quickly. He left me there? I was hoping to meet more new people and sure enough the Glendale SWAT team guy came over to say Hi!, and check my ID, so I explained that most of the Marines and Glendale Police had done the same. So, he left and left me there. All in all a very good location to shoot from, just to many visitors!

The Legend of the Guardian of the Line
The Greek God "Linus" comes from the Greek name Λινος (Linos) meaning "leg."

Very nice, it looks like waiting paid off!

Thanks Matt!  Would've been a much better image if the skids of the Huey were above the wing of the Cobra, but I'll take it.
